- Suicide; after witnessing a suicide 15 years ago, I have developed a passion for those who struggle with thoughts of suicide. This has helped in the grief work with those who are bereaved.
- First-generation Canadian with roots in the United States.
- Raised in the far north of British Columbia and have lived in the Yukon for 15 years before moving to Southern Alberta.
- Lived and worked in the United States for 9 years prior to moving back to Canada.
