Jupiter Vaughan
Jupiter is welcoming, accepting and works with a lot of clients from the LGBTQ+ community. Before becoming a therapist, many of his friends went to him with their troubles. He found that he liked talking to people, it didn't feel like work, which led him to become a therapist. He grew up in a very progressive family and the first wedding he went to was for a lesbian couple. A big part of Jupiter's practice is holding space for his clients and letting them know that they are normal and healthy.

Therapeutic Frameworks & Approach
- You might feel that you are speaking with a fellow human being, rather than being spoken down to by an "expert" from some lofty perch of moral or intellectual enlightenment
- You might be surprised by the other feelings which could be hidden behind the exhausted, fearful, or angry ones which lead you to seek therapy to begin with
- You might gradually start to have feelings of warmth and acceptance towards yourself, as you see it directed towards you in sessions
- You might begin to feel that beliefs you had about yourself or your behaviours are much more malleable than they originally seemed

Service Offerings & Rates
- We will briefly discuss what is bringing you to therapy, what you hope to gain from therapy, scheduling, the initial intake session and consent form, and any other relevant questions you may have prior to working together.
- At the conclusion of filling out the intake in our first session, you will let me know your goals for therapy (in order of importance)
- Following that, we will learn more about what might be making those goals challenging for you, utilizing information from the intake as well as present-day experiences
- I believe that you are the best judge of what is the most relevant therapy topic to delve into first, and I will always be honest with you if I have a differing idea or hypothesis as we work towards that goal
- You can expect that I will listen with care, empathy and respect because you deserve those things
- You can expect that we will build a rapport of trust, respect, and good humour (when appropriate)
- You can expect that I will never judge or criticize you, only offering reflection and support
- Over time, you will likely notice changes in the way you feel day to day, and how others around you observe you as well
