Meet Fawn

Fawn has always had a passion for helping people, and many of her clients struggle with grief, loss, and trauma. Fawn likes to think of herself as a heart with ears, someone who listens with compassion and empathy, and offers different perspectives. She encourages her clients to develop self-compassion and grace, because perfection is unattainable. When she isn't working, Fawn enjoys working on Lego kits to decompress.

My experiences and interests give me a unique understanding of…
  • The challenges of living and working in small communities – I understand the complexities of maintaining privacy, setting boundaries, and navigating close-knit relationships.
  • Generational cycles of trauma, addiction, and workaholism – Having witnessed and reflected on these patterns, I know how deeply they shape identity, relationships, and self-worth.
  • The power of resilience and self-discovery – I believe in the strength of the human spirit and the possibility of healing, no matter how long you've carried your burdens.
  • The importance of culturally responsive care – Particularly in working with rural Indigenous communities, I recognize the need for respect, understanding, and an approach that honours traditions and spiritual beliefs.
  • The emotional weight of caregiving – Whether you're a professional, a family caregiver, or supporting a loved one at the end of life, I understand the exhaustion, love, and grief that come with it.
  • The need for setting boundaries and prioritizing self-care – Especially for those in helping roles, learning to balance giving to others while protecting your own well-being is essential.

My clients often self-identify as…
  • Adults (18+)
  • People navigating life in small or rural communities – Those who understand the unique challenges of close-knit environments, limited resources, and maintaining privacy.
  • Caregivers and helping professionals – Social workers, healthcare workers, and family caregivers who give so much to others and struggle to prioritize their own well-being.
  • Individuals carrying generational burdens – Those breaking cycles of trauma, addiction, workaholism, or emotional suppression.
  • Indigenous individuals and families – People seeking culturally respectful, spiritually inclusive, and holistic support in areas like mental health, end-of-life care, and community healing.
  • Adults facing major life transitions – Whether it’s grief, aging, career shifts, or relationship changes, they’re seeking guidance in uncertain times.
  • Those who’ve been taught to ‘tough it out’ but want a different way – Individuals realizing that healing doesn’t have to mean suffering in silence.
I’m the right therapist for you if…

If we work together you can expect to feel...
  • Heard and Understood – Your experiences, struggles, and emotions will be met with genuine empathy and without judgment.
  • Safe and Supported – I create a space where you can show up as you are, knowing you don’t have to have it all figured out.
  • Respected and Empowered – Your voice matters, and together, we’ll explore what healing looks like for you on your terms.
  • Challenged (in a Good Way!) – Growth isn’t always easy, but I’ll help you navigate discomfort with honesty, humor, and encouragement.
  • Validated and Encouraged – Whether you’re breaking cycles, setting boundaries, or rediscovering yourself, I’ll walk alongside you.

During your free consultation, we'll go over...
  • What brings you to therapy – Whether you're facing specific challenges or just feel "stuck," we’ll explore what you hope to gain from counseling.
  • Your background and experiences – I’ll ask about key aspects of your life, including work, family, relationships, and any past therapy experiences.
  • My approach and how I work – I’ll explain my humanistic, client-centered style, so you can see if it’s a good fit for you.
  • Any questions or concerns you have – This is your time to ask about therapy, my process, or anything else that’s on your mind.
  • Next steps – If we decide to work together, we’ll discuss scheduling, fees, and how we’ll move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
  • This is a no-pressure conversation—just a chance to see if we’re the right fit. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, heard, and supported from the start.
If we work together you can expect me to…
  • Meet you where you are – There’s no pressure to “have it all figured out.” We’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.
  • Create a safe, non-judgmental space – You can be your full self here—messy, vulnerable, uncertain—without fear of judgment.
  • Help you reconnect with your strengths – Even if you feel lost or overwhelmed, we’ll uncover the resilience and wisdom already within you.
  • Challenge unhelpful patterns – Whether it’s generational cycles, burnout, or people-pleasing, we’ll work on shifting what no longer serves you.
  • Support you in setting boundaries – Especially if you’ve been taught to put others first, we’ll work on creating space for your own needs.
  • Honor your cultural and personal identity – Your beliefs, values, and lived experiences matter. I’ll respect and integrate them into our work together.
  • Walk alongside you with honesty and compassion – Therapy isn’t about me telling you what to do—it’s about us working together to help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control of your life.
  • Ultimately, my goal is for you to leave therapy feeling heard, empowered, and more at home in yourself.
