Amy O'Coin
Amy was in the corporate world but decided to switch careers due to lack of work/life balance and experiencing burnout. She takes a holistic approach to work with her clients and specializes in life transitions, imposter syndrome, anxiety and more.
- When suffering emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress, I had feelings of overwhelm, emotionally drained, and was unable to meet the daily demands of life. I realized I was suffering from burnout and chose the support of counselling as a tool to help positively shift my beliefs and values through my burnout recovery. This experience prompted my career transition into the field of professional counselling. While healing my own attachment wounds I became very interested in, and completed training in, Attachment Trauma and Couples Counselling.
- My cultural background of Indigenous (Mohawk) and Irish descent has given me the valuable perspective on how culture, society and diversity, among many other factors, can influence the way we see ourselves and the world around us.
